Monster Hunters

Monster Hunters are registered hunters who take on contracts to battle monsters in Radan’s wilderness, those lurking in sewers, and wherever else their practice may take them. Monster Hunters are given exemptions by the government in certain taxes and laws. They are not bounty hunters, but can take on bounties if they wish. Their main priority, however, is dealing with monsters, fiends, undead, and the like. Hunters who fail to complete at least two contracts a year (barring injury) are stripped of their title and must re-apply for a Monster Hunting permit (500 GP one-time fee with a 5 GP annual renewal fee).

Monster Hunting Clans

Long before the days of the Farris Rebellion, and even dating back to the days before Iuris’s formation, there existed Monster Hunting Clans. Although they were often simply called warrior clans, the creation of the Empire and its subjugation of its neighbors led to the change in nomenclature. Few of these clans exist today, but those that do are stocked with powerful warriors trained to battle monstrosities from the Material Plane and beyond. Three exist in Iuris: the Tatsumaki clan of Juukinzoku, the Shikaaree clan of Alqatala, and the Skoldmons clan of Orm.
